In a world full of online businesses where you never quite know who’s doing your work & whether they will be round from one year to the next, Brackens Print is a ‘real world’ business, based in the CBD of Oamaru, New Zealand.
Established since 1946, the business has a firm hold in the community and customers are welcome to pop in and discuss their requirements face to face, if they prefer.
Many of the staff have been in the industry for a very long time, are qualified tradies or have quals from a tertiary provider – catering for a wide range of customer’s needs.
Robin is our boss – and creative / print manager. He sits in the boss’s chair and makes boss’s decisions. He’s usually our front man for customers to drop in on.
Jo is also our boss. She is Robin’s business partner and generally manages the shop and OPD orders to have the shop ready with a range of goodies for you, our buyers.
Al has few words to say. He works quietly away in the design team. He likes a little drop every now and again and is helpful to staff and customers alike.
Peter is a member of the design team and has a number of clients who regularly touch base with him. He has worked in various creative industries.
Chris is a tradie – been with Brackens Print for many years and has recently stepped up from the basement to the office floor! Chris is your ‘go-to’ man for estimates.
Chrissie is our bindery assistant and finishing employee. You won’t often see her milling about the shop but you’re likely to see her out making deliveries!
Paul is an Oamaru local. He is a printer by trade and is mostly found in the basement working his magic on the machines, making plates or mixing ink.
Dave is our furniture installer. If you have made an order for a flat pack – there’s a good chance Dave has put it together and will deliver it if you’re local.
Kelly works in the shop and is from the Waitaki District. She often creates new displays, receives phone calls and will be found around the shop floor.
Stephanie moved to the Waitaki a number of year’s ago and is part of the Brackens shop team. You will often find her tracking inwards goods and serving customers.
Shannon is one of our shop ladies. She is quite active in the community and brings a lot of bounce to Brackens. You will find her in the shop most days.
Joanna is the youngest member of Brackens’ shop team. Having been born and bred in Oamaru she knows many locals and will welcome you warmly.
Manoj is our bean counter. He is relatively new to Brackens but has lived in Waitaki for a little while. You are likely to have him serve you in the shop when it's busy.
Debbie is part of the creative team – you’ll find her behind the wall at the back of the building. Debbie is new to the region and is learning plenty at Brackens Print.
Talia is part of the finishing team and works away feverishly at the guillotine. Talia has some signwriting experience and is a dab hand at airbrushing.
